About

Why HodlHabit exists

HodlHabit started as a personal spreadsheet. Buying Bitcoin on a schedule is easy to describe and hard to keep doing — the weeks you most want to skip are usually the weeks that matter, and a spreadsheet does not argue back.

So the spreadsheet became a chart, and the chart became a rule set: buy on schedule, buy more when price sits below its long-term models, and keep a record honest enough to hold you to it. That is still the whole idea.

Small team, no fund behind it, and no plan to ever hold anyone's coins.

What it is, and what it is not

What it is

  • A tracker that shows every purchase you have made on one chart.
  • A builder for rules-based Dynamic DCA, with backtests against a decade of history.
  • Where it is available to you, a way to run those rules on your own exchange, under your own API key.

What it is not

  • Not a broker, an exchange or a money services business.
  • Not a custodian or a wallet — HodlHabit never holds your Bitcoin.
  • Not an investment adviser, and nothing in it is financial or tax advice.

Principles

How it is built

Your keys, your exchange

Coins stay where you put them. The only key HodlHabit accepts is one that can trade and cannot withdraw, and it verifies that before storing anything.

Rules over feelings

Decide once, when you are calm, and let the rules carry you through the weeks when you are not.

Backtested, not predicted

Models describe what Bitcoin has done, not what it will do. Every backtest says so, and so does every page that shows one.

Boring by design

No leverage, no signals to chase, no urgency. A buy that happens quietly on a Monday is the entire product.
